UCLA Health doctors and scientists are pioneering work in an astounding range of disciplines – from organ transplantation and cardiac surgery to neurosurgery and cancer treatment.
To enhance their existing technologies and support the digital transformation of healthcare, UCLA Health partnered with Chorus Innovations to build and improve their systems.

Background
UCLA has a Genetic Cancer Genetics Testing & Counseling clinic to provide its patients with personalized genetic testing and counseling services. One important workflow for the clinic is to identify people who had a prior engagement with UCLA clinics and hospitals, and based on their engagement with the clinic advise them to get genetic counseling.
Objective
Design a genetic testing platform to support genetic counselling users of UCLA Health to remotely receive test kit, Ship-back test sample, Schedule Genetic counseling and Get results through a single unified solution.
Design Limitations
Product design and feature set is limited to the Chorus App builder platform. Designs should be replicable on Chorus platform.
Problem
The current user journey does not include an end-to-end solution and, is very time-consuming and tedious. Users want to learn more about Genetic counseling and want to be notified when action needs to be taken.
The Solution
User Receives email or text message to access Genetica. User profile is already created by admin and address from past record is shown.
